Event Details
9am - 10am Sonic Valium (LIVE)
SURVIVAL GUIDE:
The location is beautiful! 160 acres in a wooded valley about 140 miles Northeast of San Francisco. The terrain is woodsy, so remember to bring your forest shoes!
BE ADVISED THERE IS NO CELL PHONE RECEPTION UP THERE AND GPS MAY NOT WORK. So we recommend that you PRINT OUT a map and follow the directions we’ve posted closely. Do not just rely on all the new technology; the old fashioned way will help you not get lost this time. Also check the Facebook page before departure the day of even for updated info on signage we will use to assist you.
Start time:
We suggest arriving early on Friday. The music begins at 5:00pm sharp and you won’t want to miss any of it!
Gate hours:
Someone will be at the gate at all times
Weather:
Day - We will have shade structures (and a pool!), but it will be hot during the day. Come prepared! Bring whatever you need to stay cool and not burn! Sunscreen, hats, shorts, bathing suits, misters, extra shade for your tent, flip flops, towels, etc.
Night - It gets SUPER COLD, so bring those big phatty coats and lots of layers. We will have the fire pits going on the dance floor to assist in staying warm.
Pool:
There will be a pool! Bring your bathing suits and floaty toys! NO GLASS of any kind allowed in the pool area. And remember- Voodoo Tikki Disko Saturday!
Cars & RVs:
** Carpool * CarPool * cArPoOL * CaRpooL ** Please carpool! RVs and Trailers are welcome but no hook ups avalible.
Camping:
There will be a designated camping area. When you arrive, gate volunteers will be there to greet you and point you in the right direction. You will be able to camp next to your car, so you don’t need to worry about hauling your things anywhere!
Food & Cooking:
If you bring a BBQ, please bring it over to the designated BBQ area. This is a BYOB and food event, so please plan ahead. Bring plenty of Ice to keep your food fresh. Possible limited meals will be available for purchase on site.
Water & Hydration:
There will be some available drinkable water sources on-site but we don’t want to stress the system and recommend you bring some of your own as well. One gallon per person at least.
Trash & Recycling:
** This IS a LEAVE NO TRACE event! We will NOT be supplying trash receptacles. Please plan accordingly: everything that comes in your vehicle, leaves in your vehicle! **
⇒ WE CAN’T STRESS ENOUGH that this is a Pack In/PACK OUT event. There is no trash pick-up at the venue so please be aware you are expected to take all of your trash and of course recycle, recycle, recycle! Thank you so much for your cooperation!
Safety Lighting:
PLEASE BRING HEAD LAMPS- It gets really dark folks!
The designated paths between the main areas will be lit at night but bringing your own lighting for your camping area and yourself is recommended.
Smoking:
There will be designated smoking areas. Please do not smoke outside of these areas and put out all butts out in provided designated receptacles or your own ash tray (empty Altoid cans or film canisters work well).
High Fire Season:
We can’t say it enough: It is high fire season. Absolutely -NO fires allowed in camping areas. Please only smoke and cook in the designated areas. We will have several big fire pits for warming yourselves at night in the main stage area. Please be respectful of our ability to have an open fire. Fire extinguishers will be available for emergency use.
Bathrooms & Showers:
There will be real bathrooms and showers on site. Don’t forget your towel! Also, please remember our facilities will be experiencing a high volume of usage and that the pipes out there are sensitive. Help keep our party flowing by only flushing TP down the toilets (no tampons, etc.). Be respectful of other party goers and help keep the area tidy.
Art:
We will have a live, interactive art area with lots of paint and brushes. Paint and brush contributions are always welcome.
